Indian Ocean Disaster Relief (IODR) was established specifically to provide charitable assistance to children and families in the Indian Ocean region, and in particular to respond to natural disasters and other emergencies in this area.
Initially providing funding, support and emergency relief following the Tsunami, IODR now builds orphanages, educational, medical and community centres throughout the Indian Ocean region.

4. Locally integrate/indigenise schemes to ensure long-term sustainability
WHAT WE DO
IODR see a world where all children have the opportunity to achieve their full potential and lead fulfilling and healthy lives. The type of projects IODR undertake are thus all child-focused and fall into two categories: immediate emergency relief following natural disasters and long-term managed/funded community projects.
