Weligama New Year Celebrations

Celebrations were held at the WCWEC in April to mark Sri Lankan New Year.

Students were gifted books and toys in a short awards ceremony attended by chief guests Mr. Roshan Lyman - Head of Sri Lankan Trade and Politics – and Mr. Manoj Gunawardene, the CEO of Sri Lankan Airlines.

A boy and girl from the lower years were also selected to receive the special title of WCWEC ‘Prince’ and ‘Princess’ in recognition of their excellent progress at the Centre. The activity-packed programme for the rest of the day included races, competitions and team games for all the children.
