| Based on the findings of the Needs assessment, we propose the following activity areas as a strategic focus for IODR Sri Lanka over the coming 3-5 years:
Children’s Wellbeing and Education
After School Educational activities Programme
Sports activities – Swimming Pool and Sports pitch
Improving the standard of English teaching in local schools
(with The British Council)
Supporting existing local youth organisations
Therapeutic Play Holidays
Creative Play Teams working in local institutions
Community Health and Education
Outreach awareness and education programmes – initially in maternal health
Free education classes for target groups
Building capacity of relevant local CBO’s
Further needs assessment needed to identify more specific local needs
Climate Change
IODR go carbon neutral (auditable)
Environmental Audit of plot
Recycling Strategy at the Centre
Education programme to merge with other activities.
